What is the procedure for obtaining Hazardous Waste Authorization?

The applicant has to file Form 1 to the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) through the official site after creating a registration ID. Form 1 is to be submitted with the required documents.

After the receipt of the Form 1, SPCB conducts a proper inquiry into the regulations given in the rules and verify the document. The inspection can also be in the form of field visit by the authorized personnel.

If the SPCB finds no discrepancies in the application and during the inspection, the Hazardous Waste Authorization is granted accompanies by the copy of field visit report.

The authorization is valid for five years. A request for renewal of the authorization must be made 120 days before the expiry of the current authorization.
